what is a highlight video?

A highlight video comes standard with every one of our packages. It is essentially a 3-4 minute “trailer” of your wedding highlighting all the key moments. On top of the music, we utilize the ceremony and speech audio to make your video truly unique. You can see examples of highlight videos here.

what is a full ceremony & speech video?

The full ceremony and speech videos are separate videos that you’ll be able to watch in their entirety from start to finish. That way, you’ll be able to see your entire ceremony and everyone who gave a speech from beginning to end.

what is the artistic feature film?

The artistic feature is basically a longer highlight video. Depending on the package you choose it can run anywhere from 15-25 minutes and goes in chronological order of the days events. Driving the video are all the clips not seen in the highlight video plus the ceremony and speech audio which glue it all together. Click here to see an example video: Feature Film

what is the raw footage video?

Throughout the day we’re constantly hitting the record and stop button. When we sit down to edit, those clips are all tediously sifted through and the best of those clips are what make it to the highlight clip and feature film. A lot is left on the cutting room floor including the audio associated with those clips. The raw footage video is every single clip we capture throughout the day strung together into a long video. It won’t be artistically edited but that’s ok! It’s fun to go back and watch all the behind the scenes footage and relive those truly raw moments.

what is a horseshoe and what does it do?

one vs. two shooters?

We shoot weddings solo all the time. We’re still able to capture the big moments and create a beautiful highlight video. That being said, during solo shoots, we have to prioritize shots. For example what do we film: bride or groom prep? With two shooters we never have to choose, we can film both. On solo shoots we always prioritize the bride. If we get lucky and you’re in close proximity we can sometimes capture both. What about during cocktail hour when the reception area is also photo ready? We’ll film the reception area first and if we have time to capture some of cocktail hour we’ll go back and do so. If there were two shooters present we wouldn’t have to choose. With two shooters we also have double the footage to work with which allows us to create a longer artistic video. Hence why both two-shooter-packages come standard with a longer edit. Just something to keep in mind!

what if i lose my videos?

Not to worry! We backup your wedding on our hard drives for an indefinite period of time. Not a lot of videographers can say this. We actually still have the very first wedding we filmed over 15 years ago stored on a hard drive! As long as the hard drive boots up, you’re safe. And since all your videos are shared online anyways (as apposed to DVD’s or flash drives) it’ll be hard to “lose” anything!

what is a social media edit?

It’s a shorter version of your highlight clip edited to the current dimensions of social media. Today it’s making sure the video is edited vertically… tomorrow it could be different. We stay on top of the trends for you.
